TOM WALKER : 2015 THESIS EXHIBITION

My MFA thesis exhibition, SEQUENCE, examines mechanical and digital machines, such as the computer and printer, and the visual language associated with their function and dysfunction. The ways in which digital information is shared, transmitted and received are examined throughout the work along with the data cache errors and compression artifacts that may occur in the process. By using geometric formal arrangements and color relationships such as chromostereopsis, these digital and mechanical errors are further explored through notions of depth and flatness.
