Charles McKeen - [ca. 1921 - 1935]

Charles McKeen was born in 1885 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He travelled to Alberta in 1905 and bought a homestead northwest of Sangudo in 1907. He also opened a livery barn in Lac Ste. Anne and hauled freight. He enlisted in 1915 and saw action in France serving with the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. McKeen ran as a UFA candidate in the electoral district of Lac Ste. Anne in 1921, winning the seat. He was re-elected in 1926, and returned for a third term by acclamation in 1930. He was defeated by Social Credit candidate Albert Bourcier in the 1935 election.
