ACROS Fukuoka Prefectural International Hall, Fukuoka (アクロス福岡)
With its 15 stepped terraces, the design of the ACROS Fukuoka Prefectural International Hall reconciles the profitability of a site with the need for open green space within the heart of the city. From the Tenjin Central Park, the building appears as a hill covered with lush vegetation. In order to increase the similarities with nature, the different species of plants used in the garden terraces were chosen to emphasize the changes of the four seasons.
