Francelia Billington (1895-1934) was an early American silent-screen actress and an accomplished camera operator.
American photographer Albert Witzel (1871-1929) was known for his elegant portrait photographs. Witzel was a pioneer photographer and a very prominent portrait photographer of Los Angeles. The rise of his studio paralleled the emergence of the film industry following its relocation from the East Coast. Witzel made portraits of many of Los Angeles' leading figures, including such film stars as Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and vamp Theda Bara.
