Badger in my garden
I probably see Badgers more frequently than any other British mammal because each night they visit my garden for the peanuts and sunflowers I put out. I place a hollowed broken log over the food to keep the ravenous Woodpigeons off as they would polish it all off in a minute. I usually watch through the patio windows and I don't normally bother to take photos. But last night it was really hot and so the patio doors were fully open. I sat at the entrance while this female Badger finished off the food about 2m away from me. She knew I was there as I was chatting with my wife throughout, and she occasionally looked up at me (the Badger, not my wife!). But she is so relaxed in my presence it is almost like having a pet in the garden. My biggest Badger count is six at once, but in recent years this has dropped to ones and twos, although it is not always the same ones that visit. Individuals do vary and I can recognise them.
