After our stop at level 196 (ASL), the bus dropped us off at level 185 (feet above sea level) the top of the Three Gorges Dam.
Beside the 5 locks for big ships, the dam has a ship elevator for smaller ones. This ship was about to enter the elevator.
Small world, just noticed its the Hong Rui 8, a ship I posted a few shots back.
The system is designed to accommodate ships up to 3,000 metric tons. The lift opened in 2016.
And, passage for ships is free, costs born by the Chinese Government.
