1966 Jensen Interceptor HEA 2D
This interesting car, registered HEA 2D, was a very early Jensen Interceptor and was a motor show car in 1966. I gather it still survives. It seen here in the paddock at Silverstone on March 27 1967. Marque expert Richard Calver, who has an amazing web site full of Jensen history, (www.richardcalver.com) tells me:
This is chassis 2516, about the 20th in the chassis series. It was shown at Earls Court in 1966 where it wore the plate HEA 3D but it was taken into service as a demo after the show and registered as HEA 2D. It was not sold until January 1968 so it was on demo use at the time your photo was taken.
Curiously, the plates HEA 2D showed up as spares with a completely different early Interceptor which is now in Australia, and 2516 itself is also in Australia.
