Part of the NASA tracking system on Merritt Island near Kennedy Space Center. A spot where there is a very fine line between reality and SciFi. Stylized a bit to make it look a little more SciFi for Utata weekend project SciFi

I came face to face with a startling statue at Plainpalais near the skate park - Dr Frankenstein's monster who apparently germinated in Mary Shelley's mind while she was staying in Geneva. This is where the monster carried out his first murder. The statue is horrible yet remarkable in detail. My photos of the whole thing didn't come out well; better ones here:

This image was generated using the in camera multiple exposure function, which requires the second image to be added within one minute of the first or it "forgets". A view of the beach was combined with a macro shot of paint peeling from a nearby picnic table. Adjusting the color palette with Topaz Restyle (bronze desert preset, 70% normal blending mode) strengthened the otherwise washed out figure

I ran across a forgot-to-make-public photo for Utata's weekend project: science fiction. It made me think of a book I'd recently read, Liu Cixin's "Ball Lightning".
