Collins Creek Falls has 2 falls and this is the upper. The flow is a little easier to capture due to the volume of water at this point.

The fallen tree could not have been placed any better. Provided a great leading line into the cascade.
Morning view in the Allgäu alps towards castle Neuschwanstein and castle Hohenschwangau. A non common view of the castle offers a nice Alpenglow during sunrise. It is astonishing how the nature and the castles for such a harmonic unity. Next time I will hopefully have the view with fog arising in the valley!
For all friends interested in equipment. This is taken as a 2 shot pano with the supertool Zeiss Otus 1.4/85mm which outperforms the Canon 70-200mm IS LII by far in sharpness!

Most people will come to Collins Creek for the cooler temperatures during the summer and to photograph the small falls. I decided to get above the falls and photograph the cascades leading to the falls. Just a 0.5 mile hike from the trailhead makes this area a popular summertime venture. The falls is located in central Arkansas near Greers Ferry.
