Curtiss-Wright Bee, Two Passenger Air-Car, 1959 - Advertising Postcard

CW Bee

CURTISS-WRIGHT 2-PASSENGER AIR-CAR

Date: 1959

Source Type: Postcard

Publisher, Printer, Photographer: Curtiss-Wright

Postmark: None

Collection: Steven R. Shook

Remark: Here is the world's newest method of transportation...the Curtiss-Wright

AIR-CAR

Without the usual wheels, axles, transmission, clutches, etc., the Curtiss-Wright Air-Car travels smoothly over any unobstructed terrain, across water, mud or swamps on a cushion of low pressure, low velocity air. The controls are simple and the vehicle is inherently stable -- anyone who can drive a car can operate the Air-Car.

The "Bee" is a compact, two passenger Air-Car which travels at speeds up to 56 mph with a 100 horsepower engine. This is the next model planned for production.

The Model 2500 is a 2-engine, 300 horsepower vehicle which comfortably carries four passengers.
