Ranka Primorac
Ranka Primorac teaches Africa’s literatures at the Department of English, University of Southampton. She has degrees from universities in Croatia, Zimbabwe and the UK and has published six academic volumes (including the 2006 monograph The Place of Tears) and numerous articles on the literatures and cultures of Southern Africa. She sits on the Council of the African Studies Association of the UK and is a Research Associate of the Department of African Languages and Cultures at SOAS. Among her research interests is the interface between cosmopolitanism and genre; her popular pamphlet Whodunnit in Southern Africa was published in 2011 for the Africa Research Institute and is freely available.
