Silver Lining
Quite simply, this was some of the best light I have ever seen. The fog played with the sun for at least an hour, always changing. At a few points Dene' and I looked at each other and said, "When will it STOP!?"... It was so incredible. Strangely, over 25 tourists passed us along the trail, more than half of them with DSLRs, and none of them stopped to shoot this scene.
I've seen this kind of light before, but never in such a magnitude. This basalt canyon is nearly 200 ft deep here, and those rays were spread across the whole thing.
If you have not checked out my photo project on Kickstarter, take a look and consider donating! www.kickstarter.com/projects/7588735/out-there-eastern-or...
This will be an amazing adventure in my photography as I develop a portfolio and create a photo book of the areas found in eastern Oregon.
