Thinking inside the box! - Day 9, Year 2

24/08/09

Taken for the FGR task, "Somebody Else's Glasses" I had to bend the rules slightly as these are my sunglasses.. but technically Mr Box is wearing them not me ;)

Sometimes it helps to think inside the box!

This shot is not quite what I wanter it to be, I was slightly distracted by the fact that most of my AA batteries have gone flat. I could only find 2 that had any real energy in them so that restricted the flash I could use :(

Lightroom: Cross processing preset, crop, sharpen, use the brush tool to pick out the shadow detail on the right hand side of the shot and to darken the background to the left, sharpen, save to JPG

Strobist: vivitar flash to camera left at about 45 degrees to the subject, see the setup shot for more details. I should have really used a reflector to the right and my elbow is completely blown which is not helped by the cross processing presets agressive use of the highlight curve!
