Wyoming big sagebrush steppe: W of Goshen UT
The remnant sagebrush steppe in this area shows evidence of being routinely and fairly heavily grazed. The dominant grass is Agropyron cristatum, crested wheatgrass, but this is not obviously given that most everything has been grazed to about ground level. Aristida purpurea, Elymus elymoides, and Stipa comata are the common native grasses in this area. Bromus tectorum is present but not abundant perhaps because it is routinely grazed.
