Locomotive History
This engine was built in 1915 by Peckett and Sons, Bristol (works no.1370) and was owned prior to preservation in 1974 by Yates Duxbury and Sons Ltd, Heap Bridge, Bury where it was still operational in the early 1970’s although it was the spare engine. In trawling the internet for further details of this engine it appears that in 1960 it was working at the Southampton Gas works and its firebox was beyond economical repair. Any further details regarding this engine gratefully received.
