FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. -- A Model 1861 3-inch Ordnance Rifle, originally called the Griffen Gun, sits outside the Pennsylvania National Guard Museum at Fort Indiantown Gap. The cannon, manufactured by the Phoenix Iron Works of Phoenixville, Pa., was used during the Civil War in defense of the commonwealth. The Pennsylvania National Guard Military Museum at Fort Indiantown Gap is houses in two World War II barracks built in 1841 and is open to the public weekly throughout the year.
