Levers Water

An attempt to take a different look at the Lakes, fueled by yesterdays walk over the ridges in fog and gale force winds (which was brilliant! A right refresher) which proved as a reminder, that even in summer, these mountains can be harsh unforgiving places. Yet they are often portrayed with sunshine and smiling faces - I'm a massive culprit myself. All these images were taken in the Coniston Old Man range and are my attempt of representing a changed a perspective.

Take them as you will but please comment.

This picture is unfortunate, literally a minute earlier was one of the most spectacular sunrises I have seen, everything was burnt gold. I dropped my bag and ran to a vantage point, missing both 'the' shot, loosing my bag in a scree field and finally dropping my camera in the tarn! HDR of 5 images.
