Waianapanapa State Park - Maui
Off the road to Hana on the southeastern side of Maui is Waianapanapa State Park. The park is set along the coast with the highlight being a black sand beach nestled among the cliffs. The beach was made up mostly of small smooth black pebbles rather than fine sand but the black pebbles shimmer beautifully under the tropical sun.
