NERS Prof. Zhong He Lab
Joshua Mann, NERS Graduate student, works on the high voltage generation board that is part of the detector technology built under the guidance of NERS Professor Zhong He. The detectors are built to detect gamma rays (high energy units of light), which allow for both monitoring and detection in various circumstances, from leaks in radiation in power plants to surreptitious shipments of dangerous radioactive material over borders.
