During India's aviation 'gold-rush' in the early 1990's(that's when I started my career) India had close to 25 large airlines.One of them, NEPC boasted the largest fleet of 54 aircraft; its Fokker F-27-500 fleet served regional destinations while its Boeing 737 fleet served metro routes. When the DGCA made the TCASII fitment madetory in light of a crash, NEPC found the financial burdern a bit too high and one September morning, decided to shut down its airline. OVer 6000 folks lost their jobs. This is what's left of its aircraft fleet.
