This is just a few pictures of the Chester Hydro Hub in its current state as of 21st July 2025.
The Chester Hydro Hub project is transforming a historic hydroelectric station originally built in 1914 beside the River Dee into a modern visitor and learning centre focused on renewable energy and sustainability. Spearheaded by the CHASE community interest company, the initiative will highlight the area's green transition and heritage while generating its own power from the river. With initial funding in place and public engagement underway, the site aims to serve both as an educational hub and a model for clean energy innovation
