Before the light was gone completely, I took a picture of yet another new version of the nose, following suggestions by Michel Heemskerk and John Lamarck. The fairing on top of the nose was too curved and the nose itself looked a bit too bulbous. I've flattened the top (by about a plate) and replaced the fairing with a hinged construction that is largely flat.
I think it's time to start building the tail.
