Harvestman (Paroligolophus agrestis - female - confirmed ID)
I think this is a spider, but it is different looking to the large numbers of small spiders I see on all my strolls beside the canal near my house.
Help with ID would be welcome.
Harvestman have 8 legs as do spiders, BUT do not possess poison glands but has instead glands that produce a stinky odor. They also have no silk glands. They differ structurally from spiders by having a single body, with no seperate thoracic or abdominal sections. In general, the legs of all Harvestmen are longer than those of most spiders.
