Waiting on the World to Change.
me and all my friends
we're all misunderstood
they say we stand for nothing and
there's no way we ever could
now we see everything that's going wrong
with the world and those who lead it
we just feel like we don't have the means
to rise above and beat it
so we keep waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
it's hard to beat the system
when we're standing at a distance
so we keep waiting
waiting on the world to change
now if we had the power
to bring our neighbors home from war
they would have never missed a Christmas
no more ribbons on their door
and when you trust your television
what you get is what you got
cause when they own the information, oh
they can bend it all they want
that's why we're waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
it's not that we don't care,
we just know that the fight ain't fair
so we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
and we're still waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting waiting on the world to change
one day our generation
is gonna rule the population
so we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
John Mayer -- Waiting on the World to Change
Do you ever just have a day that you think, "Well crap, I have no idea what I'm going to do with my life!!?" 'Cause I do. And I had one of those today.
My classes are leading no where (Art History & German to name two) and yeah, I have no solid idea of a career. Uh a bit scary?
It's kind of nice though on the other hand, because I know people younger than me who think they have it all figured out .. but they'll be in for a big surprise when they find out that's not really what they want to do.
What I'd really love to do is go to Africa & take care of starving children! (They do speak German in some places there .. hmm.) Then I would feel like I was doing something worthwhile. Buut, my parents (and society) think I should go to college .. but what for?? I'm not even going with a clear goal in mind at the moment. I'm just spending money while I could be making a difference somewhere. I don't want to wait for the world to change anymore!! Gahhh I don't know.
On the plus side, I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geiko! Haha, kidding, but I love those commercials. On the plus side, (for real this time,) my birthday is in exactly one month i.e. 29 days. You gotta love February. Anyone wanna buy me a pro account?? ; )
I have absolutely no idea why I decided to write this much as a description, but I did! So there.
