China Camp, California
China Camp was established in 1879 by Chinese shrimp fishermen. Within a few years almost 500 people lived here. However, because of changing regulations regarding shrimp fishing, the town declined until it eventually died in the 1930's. The remaining structures are now part of China Camp State Park.
