London Lost Music Venues: Blues 04 - Charlotte Street Blues
Address: 74 Charlotte Street, London W1.
Dates: 2009-10.
Past Use: Georgian townhouse, then Jamies restaurant.
This venue, launched by Chris Maxwell (previously involved with the Guanabara in Covent Garden) in June 2009, was closed by December 2010. A relatively upmarket bar and restaurant (American food) it featured regular live music. Mostly British performers like Ian Siegel and Matt Schofield, but also visitors from the USA like Otis Taylor, Alvin Youngblood Hart and John Mayall.
I saw Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers here in July 2009.
