Opeth live at University of East Anglia, Norwich
Sweden's mighty prog-metallers Opeth kicked off the UK leg of their European tour in support of new album "In Cauda Venenum" in the LCR of the University of East Anglia outside Norwich on October 27th. A spectacular post-industrial stage and lighting rig, described by Michael Akerfeld as "Not the best, but the best we can afford" filled the stage as the band stormed through a set drawn from the new album, mixed with favourites from Watershed, Pale Communion, Sorceress and their early albums (complete with growling).
Photography proved to be tricky due to the huge amount of smoke generated and excessive security forbidding the use of the DSLR, so these were taken on the Canon SX740 instead.
