First flown with the Airbus test registration D-AVZS, this aircraft was delivered to ILFC International Lease Finance Corporation and leased to Swissair as HB-IOA in Jan-95 as HB-IOA.
The aircraft was returned to ILFC and stored at Zurich when Swissair ceased trading in Oct-01. The lease was transferred to Crossair in Mar-02 although the aircraft remained stored at Zurich.
It was returned to ILFC in Apr-03 and immediately leased to Air Mediterranee as F-GYAP. However, it was still in storage at Zurich without engines in Jun-03. It entered service with Air Mediterranee later that year.
In Mar-12 the aircraft was due to be sub-leased to Hermes Airlines (Greece) as SX-BHT but the lease didn't happen and it continued in service with Air Mediterranee.
The aircraft was wet-leased to Daallo Airlines (Djibouti) in Jan-15 and returned to Air Mediteranee Mar-15. It returned to the lessor in Feb-16 and was leased to Olympus Airways (Greece) as SX-ABC in Mar-16.
In Apr-16 it was wet-leased to Daallo Airlines and returned to Olympus Airways in Jun-16. It was immediately wet-leased to Air Moldova and returned to Olympus in Sep-16.
It continued to operate for Olympus until mid Oct-16 when it was stored at Craiova, Romania. The aircraft was ferried to Goodyear, AZ, USA in Jan-17 and permanently retired. It was broken up at Goodyear later in 2017.
