Restaurants -8

In April 2016, we spent a week on the island of Terceira in the Azores. The Azores are located about 900 miles off the coast of Portugal.

We walked into town every night for dinner. Restaurants didn't open until 6:30pm and customers didn't start to arrive until 7pm or later, much later than we're used to. Dinner was always unrushed and typically took 2 hours. Prices seemed reasonable to us. We always had to ask for the check when WE were ready to leave.

This restaurant was much more to our liking. Most of the other customers were locals which is great. Everything was cooked to order by the owners wife.

My meal this night was "Pepper Steak" with rice and salad... 8.50E or about $10US. On another night, I had a filet that was about the same size as this pepper steak and that meal was only 12E or about $15US. The filet was topped with a fried egg.
