Gruta do Algar do Carvao -Joe 08
In April 2016, we spent a week on the island of Terceira in the Azores. The Azores are located about 900 miles off the coast of Portugal.
The "Gruta do Algar do Carvao" was not to be missed. Lots of steps but once inside it was pretty spacticular! I was impressed at the size of the cavern. A guide was present to explain the volcanic activity that created it.
