This structure was part of the Hazelwood Coke Works, the last steel mill in Pittsburgh, which closed in 1998. The mill last belonged to LTV Steel and was earlier part of Jones and Laughlin's vast facilities along the Mon. There are now plans for a massive redevelopment of the site.
