The Private Room: Foie Gras Burger

Upon arrival, staffs will hand you the ala carte menu, which has a limited range of dishes on offer, from soups to salad; and a few main course selection, such as baked snapper, pasta, lobster and burger; and a small selection of Asian dishes, including congee, noodle and dim sum.

I know what I wanted always, and ordered the US prime beef burger with Foie gras, rocket salad and fried quail egg. Don't be fooled by my picture, the actual size of the burger is actually miniscule.

Overall, it is nothing to rave about, but of course one should not compare it to Daniel Boulud's signature DB Burger with foie gras; or the legendary £100 X-Burger with Australian Wagyu Beef, foie gras, truffle, lobster tail and pricey pine mushroom I recently savored at the W Hotel Seoul. Frankly in terms of taste, it can't even be compared to Burger King. But for an airport lounge food, it's actually not bad. The best burger I've ever had in my life was actually at The Dorchester London. It was so incredibly divine.

Back at the Lounge, I also ordered a Cream of Tomato (soup), which was an epic failure. Two spoonful and that's all. I could not even finish it. Taste-wise, canned soup is much better!. Ouch.

I am more restraint and well behave these days on the buffet table, as I'm watching my weight now. As for the food on offer here, I simply skipped most of it, and prepare myself for the real deal: Caviar starter and Wagyu beef main (I'm not a big fan of Lobster) onboard the flight later..
