Corymbia citriodora flooring
Lemon-scented gum or lemon gum is a large tree native to Australia and commonly planted on drier sites in Hawaii. Formerly known as Eucalyptus citriodora, the tree is more drought-adapted than some Eucalyptus/Corymbia species. The hard wood makes good flooring. After a rain the leaves give off a smell like lemon furniture polish. The tree receives a score of 10 (potentially invasive) from the Hawaii-Pacific Weed Risk Assessment and is NOT recommended for planting into new areas: www.plantpono.org/hpwra-plant.php?id=377
