Earl's new novel is all about the problems created by men around the world who have sported ties of some sort or another. In a recent interview while on a book tour, Earl was asked where he came up with such a weird title for a novel. Earl's response was lengthy, but to quote part of his response: "...while it might seem weird, when you think about all of the problems the world has suffered by men who have worn ties throughout the last century, it makes sense because when one wears ties around one's neck, it interferes with the blood circulation to the brain. Do you follow what I am getting at?"
