Rory Flores at "Fast Eddie's" Kailua Hawaii 1993
Rory Flores was one of the top drummers in Honolulu in the 90's when I met him. He then became a member of the famous STOMP performing arts group, but tragically he died in April 2006 of Cancer. He used to invite me to go spear fishing with him when I lived in Hawaii in 1993 but I never did because they would go out at 5am and my house gig with Rod Tano went until 2am, so I never got it together. He told me that on one occasion he felt a tug on his line that had several fish on it and when he turned around and looked he saw a Tiger Shark swimming off with all of his fish.
This is the best photo of Rory from the 3 that I shot at Fast Eddie's, and so I remember now that I gave the original copy to him. I only re-discovered it when I went through all of my old negatives about 2 weeks ago. Enjoy......
