So I told Pappu that when I was a child my paternal grandmother Khurshed Baji and her friend Chanda Baji a Hindu lady who had become Shia would bring me to Khakhan Manzil to meet the matriarch of this royal noble family.
I would watch the fountain that was in their courtyard.
Now 65 years old I have still not forgotten that one childhood visit to Khakhan Manzil.
And a little further ahead is the family house of Ajay Kashmiri nephew of doyen of Indian cinema Nawab Kashmiri .
We stayed as tenants of Nawab Kashmiris family at Khatau Bhuvan Wodehouse Road Colaba.
