where once was home to about 200 people - all that remains at the town site are a few dilapidated mobile homes a school bus and some playground equipment and scattered junk - funny no-one salvaged the fire hydrants....most of the paved street are slowly being reclaimed by ma nature - i have some friends that lived here in the 80's - i need to ask them about living out here - uranium was discovered in 1955 - production began in 1960 and the last ore was processed in 1992 - the town was basically moved to various places - heard most went to the Gas Hills - which now is also abandoned - use to drive thru the mine a lot on my way to my fav waterfalls - little medicine and i watched it go from producing to reclamation - now it's almost impossible to see it's location...
