This picture was shot on a tripod with five exposures (-4..-2..0..+2..+4EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tone mapping and detail enhanced. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Used Nik Sharpener Pro to sharpen image.
I was driving home and saw that the sky was pretty clear during sunset. Stopped over at the Eastbank Esplanade to take this classic shot of the Hawthorne Bridge with Portland skyline. However, the sunset color was nothing special. Stayed a little longer to take this blue hour instead. And the great thing was, I ran into a fellow Flickr member, Chris aka Cool HDR with his 1D Mark IV and his rented 85mm f/1.2. Hope he got some great shots with it. Chris is a Really Cool Guy!
