Some pictures of the beautiful St. Francis of Assisi Church in Vienna that sits near the Danube in Leopoldstadt, Vienna's Second District. The church is also known as the Emperor's Jubilee Church. My initial thought was that it was hundreds of years old...but it was built between 1898 and 1910 to celebrate the 50th year of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria. The church was designed by Victor Luntz in the Rhenish-Romanesque style. Part of my walks from the hotel to the Danube River on Sunday May 18th and Monday May 19th, 2025 in Vienna, Austria.
