Post Office 66027 (Fort Leavenworth, Kansas)

This structure, dating to 1919, is called Boughton Hall on the Fort Leavenworth Military Reservation. It houses the local Masonic Lodge as well as the post office for the fort. It is considered a contributing property to the 1966 listing of the Fort Leavenworth National Historic Landmark District on the National Register of Historic Places.

 

Fort Leavenworth is a United States Army installation located in Leavenworth County, Kansas, immediately north of the city of Leavenworth in the upper northeast portion of the state. Built in 1827, it is the oldest active United States Army post west of Washington, D.C. Fort Leavenworth has been historically known as the "Intellectual Center of the Army."
