Old Franklin County Jail (Hampton, Iowa)
Located just east of the historic courthouse square in Hampton, this building was once the Franklin County Jail. It was built in Italianate style in 1880 by P.J. Pauly & Bro. and D.W. Dow.
This structure was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. It is also a contributing property to the Hampton Double Square Historic District, listed in 2003.
