The Pingle House

Located at 4022 Major Mackenzie Drive in Markham, Ontario, this historic house is now part of the Angus Glen Community Centre and Library. It was built in 1842 by George Pingle Jr., who was a descendant of the Berczy settlers who founded Markham. The house was primarily occupied by the Pingles and later, the Stivers, two of Markham’s oldest families.
