Showman's League Building (1870's-2009)
I must be prescient...here's a scanned photo of the Showman's League Building/Harry's Hot Dogs from 2002. They must have changed it in the last few years because I don't see elephants above the windows. This was originally built as a hotel for circus performers. Unfortunately the city is after the rest of the buildings on the block.
More information about the demolition here and here. I like that Mayor Daley had a hot dog from 100 year old Harry (business around since the 1940's) one last time.
