Another completely new-to-me fruit:

"The flavour is similar to a tart banana."
And I love a tart, slightly green banana much more than a ripe one. So this is going on my "get around to trying this" list.
At a distance I thought it looked like a hedge apple:

...but on closer look, nope nothing like it. But fascinating.
