Towson Square Tenant Announcement #2

Thursday, October 10, 2013 (Towson, MD) - Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, The Cordish Companies and Heritage Properties announced four new restaurants joining Cinemark Theaters in the new Towson Square entertainment center in downtown Towson.

Bobby's Burger Palace, Bonefish Grill, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, and Hanabi Japanese Restaurant join the $85 million project on Joppa Road between Delaware and Virginia Avenues.

These best-in-class restaurants join the previously announced 15-screen Cinemark Theater, Nando's Peri-Peri, La Tagliatella, and On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina.

"Towson Square is bringing quality entertainment and new international restaurant choices to the lively transformation of downtown Towson," said Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz. "It is truly Towson's time. Over $770 million in new offices, luxury apartments, shops and restaurants are completed, under construction or in development in downtown Towson."

Towson Square's movie theaters, restaurants and an 850-space parking garage are on track to open late summer/early fall 2014.

Towson Square is projected to create 1,530 jobs, including 660 construction jobs and 870 permanent jobs once the theatres and restaurants open.

"Downtown Towson is really coming into its own," said Councilman David Marks. "These new restaurants are an exciting addition to what will be a first-class entertainment center."

About the newly announced restaurants:

Bobby's Burger Palace (new to Baltimore County)

Chef Bobby Flay's fast casual burger concept, "BBP" features ten signature burgers inspired by the award-winning chef's extensive travels throughout America.

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse (new to Maryland)

BJ's first Maryland restaurant features signature deep-dish pizza, award-winning handcrafted beer, and famous Pizookie® dessert. BJ's highly detailed, contemporary décor creates a high energy, fun and family-friendly dining environment.

Bonefish Grill (a Baltimore County favorite)

Bonefish Grill specializes in market-fresh fish and other wood-grilled specialties combined with a big-city bar that offers fresh cocktails and an affordable, interesting wine list.

Hanabi Japanese Restaurant (new to the Baltimore region)

A traditional Japanese steakhouse featuring quality, fresh ingredients prepared teppanyaki-style on the hibachi grill.

Cinemark

Downtown Towson's newest star attraction features 15-screens with 3,400 stadium-style seats, including a 200-seat VIP area with full bar and premium food choices for over-21 movie patrons

La Tagliatella (new to Maryland)

Europeans have been enjoying the unique cuisine and warm hospitality of La Tagliatella's Northern Italian cuisine for the past two decades.

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina (new to Baltimore County)

A 'border style' restaurant, bar and patio experience featuring a mesquite grill, and authentic 'border style' cuisine and hand crafted premium margaritas, swirls and mojitos.

Nando's Peri-Peri (new to Baltimore County)

Nando's Peri-Peri brings flamed grilled peri-peri chicken to Towson, via Portugal and South Africa. Nando's is the largest South African restaurant group to expand internationally.
