Sometimes you just get hung up on a photo, not being able to let go. At least I do.
When I posted the original of this a few days ago it was very late (3 am) and I just left it there and went to bed. In the morning I checked it on my cellphone screen and it left me wondering.
The thing about the first one is that the scale model was shot indoors on my livingroom table. The lighting looks nice in big size on my computer screen, but when I saw it on my cellphone the contrasts seemed to play a little trick on the image and the model looked more dramatic than I thought it would. Or maybe it was just the small size.
So, I made an experiment. I reshot the miniature element the next day to find out the differences between my original tabletop lighting and taking the model outdoors and using the daylight as such. I wanted to see the two images side by side and actually compare the differences. It was interesting.
