[Weighing a marlin on a wharf]

This photograph was taken by Tudor Washington Collins (b.1898, d.1970) in 1938.

 

This scene depicts a woman wearing a broad-rimmed hat standing beside a suspended fish and clasping a fishing rod, the fish showing the inscription '336 11.3.38', while the sea, a small boat, and a coastline are visible in the background.

 

The photographic medium is gelatin dry plate negative, measuring 107 mm x 82 mm (1/4 plate), on glass. It is classified under negatives/photographs/AAT Visual Works.
