Finally in Istanbul....about 30 hours late. It all started with the cargo door not closing,which led to the crew not being able to fly us to Istanbul due to crew duty limits, which led to the flight being canceled, which led to us having to spend the night in new york.
Very friendly crew who were willing to let me take a look up front after the flight. Turns out that the First Officer had learned to fly at a now closed airport about 1 mile down the road from my house, and had gone to a high school about 5 miles away from the school I currently go to...it's a small world :)
