Detail of carving, Western Gazette office, Yeovil
Fine quality carving on the 1906 Western Gazette offices in Yeovil designed by Foster and Oatley of Bristol. This stonework was all carved in-situ from massive blocks of Bath Stone. Where there would normally be classical acanthus leaves tehre are instead feathered quills, representing the journalistic work carried out within.
