First Decan of Gemini
The decanates are a subsystem of astrology: each of the twelve signs of the zodiac is 30 degrees wide, and each is divided into three ten-degree-wide decanates. There is an image associated with each decanate; various lists of them exist in various cultures. The earliest unique list I know of comes from ancient Egypt, where it's just thirty-six pictures along the edge of of a star map. I'm working from the list of Henry Cornelius Agrippa for the descriptors of the illustrations.
This is the first Decan of Gemini: a man with a rod in service, and a woman sewing or embroidering.
